The Friday Group brings together a diverse mix of talented young professionals, coming from diverse horizons, to reflect upon the future of our society. The main objective is to create an enabling environment for strategic innovative thinking. Each year, the group will prepare several strategy papers on topics ranging from the position of Belgium as a society and country in the global order, the measurement of wellbeing, the economic value of diasporas, culture, and a blueprint for Brussels in 2050. The reports are meant to enrich the public debate and to support the policy making process. 

At the launch event, the group will present its first report on the position of Belgium in the global order. The report presents a sharp analysis of the different challenges that we are confronted with – economic and geopolitical – and offers several important recommendations for advancing the interests of our society.
